Do You Have the Right Employees Working for You?

Do You Have the Right Employees Working for You?

One silver lining for business owners in the current poor economy

is the availability of qualified individuals seeking employment.

Without question employers are currently in a very strong position

and can be selective with who they hire.

Ask yourself this question: do you have any employees on staff

that if you had to do all over again, you would not hire?

If you do, now is the time to seriously consider letting any

poor employees who are not a good fit for your business go and

replacing them with a person better fit for the job.

Depending on the laws in your area, you may be able to sever your

ties with poor performing employees and replacing them better options.

You don't have to tolerate poor attendance issues and substandard

performance. Make sure you have properly documented any violations

and have given the employee appropriate time to rectify any issues.

If these issues are still persisting, you should strongly consider

making a change and upgrading your staff.
