Reach Your Niche Market on a Shoestring Budget
An often overlooked way to cheaply reach your target market customers
is to find other businesses in your area that sell to the same market
and engage in cross promotions. For instance, assume your target market is female, ages 35-49. Who
else in your area sells to this niche as well? You can quickly put
together a list: hair salons, shoe stores, cosmetic stores, nail salons,
craft stores, Curves fitness centers, etc. Approach each of these businesses and suggest a cross promotion. This
could be as simple as placing business flyers by each store's cash
registers or placing flyers on bulleting boards in each business. It could also include email or direct marketing to the customer
lists of each business. The point here is that you can readily access known buyers who match
your target market and demographics. By trading access to your buyers,
you are able to gain access to prospects at very low cost. For a couple hundred dollars in marketing materials and a little
leg work on your part, you can build your business without a significant
upfront investment. Don't delay in acting on this idea - it works! ==============================================================
